Doctor Who: The End of Time. Warning: Full of spoilers and caps locks. LIKE WOAH. )

Obligatory holiday post:

Happy New Year everyone! :D

Also, planning on spending most of New Year's Day cross-stitching (which I've been doing pretty well non-stop since I got home), and watching Doctor Who (in anticipation/dread of the second part of the End of Time).

Current icon (Team Hilarity) is homage to the upcoming episode, as there are bets taking place as to how the Doctor is going to die (oh shush, there's no spoiler in that, almost everyone knows David Tennant is leaving): tragically or hilariously. I vote hilarity, as I am damn tired of RTD making me cry when he kills people off.

I hope for comedy, or at least not wrist-cutting angst. I anticipate tragedy. This is opposite as to what I expected from Torchwood Season Three, so perhaps things will be pleasant instead of gut-wrenchingly horrid. *knocks on wood three times*

*glances about* This is incredibly geeky, without most of you getting it, I assume. *knocks four times, and runs away snickering*

Merry Christmas to all!

Da loot:
From Mum, I got an Art Deco book, and a Lexicon book.
From Nick, I got 300, the Boondock Saints, and both Transformers movies.
From my grandparents, I got a jewelery stand, and Let's Break Bread Together (United Church of Canada cookbook).
In my stocking, I got chocolate, a magnetic butterfly, a bobbin organiser (yay!), two pairs of mitten/gloves, a TON of loonies (double-yay!), magnetic bookmarks, and a small beechnut bowl that my Grandpa turned. I think this year he got the idea (from my mum) that all the grandkids would like some king of his woodturning. I already have a mushroom and a bowl, but my brother, who inherited the woodworking genes of the family (aka, him, my dad, my grandpa...) did not have anything. Mum hinted. Strongly. :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Mine was made exceptionally better this year by the fact that we had an honest-to-goodness white Christmas! We still went for our Christmas Day walk on the beach while the turkey was cooking, snow or no. The ocean is quite an unique colour in the winter compared to any other season. Subtle colours all around, but still beautiful.
